Coffee Cup Doodle | Poster Idea | Interesting Texture

10731172_10205303452850075_4228526411056418974_nAfter a fantastic opportune lecture, by Naomi Games daughter and archivist of Abram Games, her father, I doodled this rough ‘P’ and some words that came to mind on a coffee cup. Now if I can get away with this in my poster design, as it’s meant to be a 2 colour print, then this would be an interesting texture to use…. might run it by my lecturers to see what they think.
I love getting all experimental, I think it will make me a better designer and literally leaping out of the comfort of the computer screen.  The textures of the coffee cup, like this would make an interesting print which could, add a level of innovation and intrigue to my design.

Poster Design – Workshop | 60 Minute Team Challenge

Poster Design – Workshop | 60 Minute Team Challenge

Today, I just had a fun challenge, set to us in a unit called ‘Professional Practice: Live Design Breifs’.

The first brief, we were set a few weeks ago, is to design and produce a poster design, convincing the power of the poster, to the people. The client is Fenner Paper, who uses 100% recycled paper. And this task we were set today, was to help us free our minds up a bit, to create something in a short space of time.

My Team’s word was ‘Warn’. We had to use this word, to inspire our design.

So, what did we come up with?

A piss take on the warning signs, we thought this could be something humorous on a serious nature, seeing as there are so many of these out there, it was difficult to produce something original.

Tattoo Idea

First off, I decided to draw something on my wrist that looked quite nice. The keyhole for me, represents unlocking something that’s hidden, or hard to reach. It’s also a save haven, where secrets can be kept safe.

If I were to get this tattoo, it would be my own writing or a font that is simple and easy to read on a small scale. ‘Open your mind, to unlock your soul’ is a quote that I have come up with, if anyone came up with it before me, then woops, I am borrowing as my inspiration.

Any way, only a first draft, but I think this is the one for me
