Poster Challenge | WEEKS 1 & 2

Sharing two weeks of my poster challenge! I have posted these on my instagram, but as this is my design blog, it made sense to post them here as well!

Week 1: ‘The Boys of Summer’

Influenced from The Ataris cover of this awesome song! I decided to use a gradient of orange and yellow, at a low opacity and a lettering typeface for the display. I wanted it to be simple, subtle and as summery as possible. (Also, rather calm and lazy… summer time is an interesting part of the year)

 

Week 2: ‘Offset’

I like offsets, I used one in my logo. I like how they create different colours and play with your vision. Helvetica Nue was the best choice, because it’s clean, geometric and I haven’t used it at all in a long time.

Something that came to mind this evening.

In my life I’ve had to be strong mentally. Now I realise that inside, I am well and truly alive. I feel like there’s this fire that can’t be quenched. And that’s what’s driving me to my goal. I’m definitely going to need this fire to keep me going in the next year. It’s not going to be easy, and I hope it’ll guide me somewhat to success!
